(July 30th, 2007) -- The following is a recap of the past few weekends.

Race report: July 11- 28

Jason Utter and his 31 team competed in three mid-western shows in their home state of Iowa. On Wednesday, July 11, Utter Motorsports team was in action at the Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa for a $5,000 to win unsanctioned race. Utter finished the night with a disappointing 18th place.

The action then turned to a World Dirt Race League event held at Echo Valley Raceway in West Union, Iowa, July 21. The Columbus Junction native rolled off from the outside of the 10th row. Utter finished the night in 22nd place.

 

July 28: West Liberty, Iowa

Jason Utter and the Utter Motorsports team rolled out the “new look”. The team recently purchased a “masterSbilt by Mars chassis. Utter tried the new car out at the track he knows so well – West Liberty Raceway. Utter powered the 31 C & R Pork, P & L Transportation to a 3rd place finish in his heat. Jason started the feature event in the 12th position. The 31 machine was moving forward into the 7th position when the first caution appeared. Utter had secured third spot, only to have anther caution waved. Track official reverted back a lap placing Utter in 4th place. On the restart #31 got jammed in corner 4; causing the field to get a jump on him. Utter drove the MasterSbilt by Mars car to a solid 6 th place finish.

“I am very happy with this car. The team received the car on Thursday morning and did an outstanding job preparing for the race tonight. The Utter Motorsports team will be racing next week at the famous Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. I haven’t met my expectation at Cedar Lake in the past, but I’m hoping my luck will change. I can’t say enough about my team and the great sponsors that support the 31. It truly is a team effort.” commented Utter.
