UTTER FINISHES 3RD IN LIBERTY 100

(October 11th , 2007) -- The Utter Motorsports team invaded the West Liberty Raceway on September 21-22 for the Liberty 100 weekend. A two-day weekend kicked off on Friday, September 21 with qualifying and a Race of Champions. #31 C & R Pork, P & L Transportation, Amsoil, Mastersbilt by Mars was strong all night. The #31 won his heat race, and then placed 5 th in the fast dash. Jason Utter was one of 12 cars that qualified for the Race of Champions, bringing home a solid 5th place finish.

Saturday was “The Liberty 100” feature event. Utter started from the 3 rd row inside in the 100 lap A main.

Jason Utter worked his way up to the 4 th position and then trouble struck race leader Brian Harris. Harris took a hard turn into the back stretch away wall near the pit entrance. Harris’ accident red flagged the race while safety crews attended to Harris. When the race resumed Utter was able to hold onto 3 rd place for a strong finish.

“My thoughts are with the Harris Race team, Brian took a really hard hit and the team and my-self hope he is OK. Brian is a great competitor and he had this race won. Our thought and prayers are with him and his team. I felt I had a third place car tonight, I just need a little more in the power plant to put the #31 in the front row.” Utter stated.
