Race Report: West Liberty Raceway - May 19th

(May 19th, 2007- West Liberty, Iowa) -- The Utter Motorsports team captures third place spot Saturday night. Jason Utter was on a mission during his heat race picking up the top honors. The feature event would find the 31 C & R Pork/ P & L Transportation Monte Carlo starting in the 7th position. By the time Utter broke thru the pack into third place, Matt Gillchrist and Nick Marolf had a full straight away advantage. Jason Utter was charging hard and closed the gap on Marolf. When the checkered flag flew, Utter was on Marolf’s bumper and would settle for a third place finish.

“My team did an outstanding job of setting this car up. I felt we had a first place car, I just ran out of laps. A good friend of the families was on hand from Lovington, New Mexico. I was glad I could put on a great run for him. The team will be focusing on the WDRL races this weekend starting at Echo Valley Speedway – West Union, Iowa, then a two day show “Rumble by the River” in Dubuque, Iowa.
