Race Report: August 16th, 2008

8/27/08 -- It was BIG night for the Utter Motorsports team. Lane and Ty Scorpil, Jason’s nephews both were winners in the bicycle give away. SPI then had a nickel toss and the boys brought home a bag of money. Crew member Justin Gesling drove his #14 car to a 5th place finish in the Stock class. A great run by the #14. Utter was able to wheel the #31 C & R Pork, P & L Transportation to a 4th place finish after starting the Late Model feature in the 15th position.

“It was a banner night when my nephews both won bicycles, Justin placed 5th in the Stock car class and I came from the back to 4th. I would like to thank SPI and Mitch from the Lil Racer Car Club for all they do for the “RACE KIDS!” It is great to see two young boys so excited.” Utter stated.

The team is gearing up for the WDRL Labor Day week-end double-header. The races will kick off at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, MN) on Saturday, August 30 th with a pay day of $5000 to the winner. 

The WDRL Late Model Series action moves to the Quad City Raceway (East Moline, IL) August 31.

Simmons Promotions has rescheduled the Rumble by the River for September 1st, at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. $5000 is up for grabs for the winner of the Rumble.
