Utter Motorsports Debuts New MasterSbilt with Sucess

(July 12th, 2010) -- Team 31’s new Gen-X MasterSbilt proves to be worth the wait.  Jason Utter deputed the new car July 1st and since that time has recorded two 5th place finishes, a 4th place, an 8th place and a second place finish.

Utter was dialed in at Elko Speedway (Elko, MN) Saturday night -July 10 taking the lead on lap two from Marshall Fegers. Utter had a comfortable lead till the yellow flag flew on lap 25. On the restart, Chad Simpson (Mt Vernon, Iowa) was on the move. Utter was unable to hold Simpson off the last lap and a half. Simpson picked up the win, Utter second and Fegers picked up the 3rd place finish.

“It was a great run for the team, Joseph and Jonathan Huston worked very hard in building this car, it has been well worth the wait. “  stated  Utter.  “I knew on the restart Chad was coming, if he was going to pass me it was going to be on the high side, and he did.  It was a great race.  Hats off to Elko Speedway track personnel.  They just put new dirt on the asphalt track and it really needed some attention.  They never gave up and Saturday night it was a great track to race on.” commented Utter.

The Utter Motorsports team will be back in action Wednesday night at the Independence Speedway in Independence, Iowa for a Corn Belt Clash race. Hope to see you at the track.
